Protagonist Object Show, or just ProtOS, is a comic I decided to start making one day at like 2am. As of uh right now I've decided it's weekly.

I'm hosting it in various locations. You can read it for free in any/all of these places, so just pick your preferred reading experience.

  • cons: no voting link, you need to play with the settings a little (scroll down on this page), and the url is a little scary-looking to onlookers. don't load this site on a school/work computer it contains a keyword that your principal/boss won't be happy about

  • pros: limited horizontal swiping on mobile
  • cons: lossy compression, chapter nav is miserable, you have to go on twitter, can't schedule posts so you might get chapters late

  • pros: ???
  • cons: lossy compression, I don't know how to operate tumblr
• Read it on patreon
  • pros: lossless
  • cons: worst reading experience, terrible web design, the pages load really slow ^{(this is a problem with lossless images but cubari preloads all pages of a chapter instead of serving them one at a time)}

This was the best online reader I could find for the way I've formatted ProtOS. And it's great! But it's a little scary.

If you're reading on mobile, the default settings should be fine. But if you're on desktop, consider the "2-page layout, odd" option pictured below, and more importantly change the view mode to "limit" "all", which is sometimes but not always the default.

If the site asks you to switch to webtoon mode, say no. Unless you prefer that.
